AUSactive Professional: Pilates Method Teacher

An AUSactive Registered Fitness Pilates Instructor has completed an AUSactive approved and Nationally Accredited Diploma or Advanced Pilates qualification. Pilates Method Teachers are qualified to plan and deliver group, private and semi-private classes for participation of clients with a mix of ages/fitness levels on wide range of Pilates specific apparatus, not limited to the mat and reformer. They often work collaboratively with clients who have managed or stabilised conditions referred from their treating medical and/or allied health practitioner. Pilates Method Teachers are able to provide individually tailored client assessments, program development, instruction and demonstration, supervised Pilates sessions, client reviews and may also support or lead other registered Pilates Professionals. Typically practice within a Pilates apparatus custom fitness facility and/or Pilates studio but also in a wide variety of other environments (including unpredictable settings such as client homes, community spaces, workplaces).
